Maggie is originally from Concord, CA. Growing up, she loved riding horses and bringing stray animals home. Her love for animals has always been at the forefront of her career goals. While attending Colorado State University, Maggie found her passion in veterinary medicine while working in the Junior Surgery Department at the CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital. While employed with the CSUVTH, Maggie was a technician assisting in the swine lab, where junior year veterinary students would hone their surgical skills ranging from suture techniques to abdominal exploratory surgeries. Each day would entail anesthetizing and monitoring 13 patients while also helping the veterinary students with their given tasks. Maggie began working with Carter Animal Hospital in the summer of 2005. During her employment with Carter Animal Hospital, Maggie wore many hats, starting as head veterinary technician, and ending as the practice manager. During her role as manager, she learned that she really liked graphic design and marketing. When she and her husband adopted their daughter in 2014, Maggie was lucky to keep the role of online marketing coordinator and worked from home until 2021, when she resumed working on site. Her favorite thing about Bridger Animal Hospital are the people. From an original staff of 4 back in 2005 to a current staff of 20, she loves pouring into them and watching them grow in their skills and their passion for the patients we help on a daily basis. Maggie received her Certified Veterinary Business Leader (CVBL) credential in 2023 and is looking to become a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) in the future.
