Veterinary Technician
Kailey grew up in Southern California. She was in 4-H for 9 years raising champion market animals and showing every animal from small to large at the local fairs. She raised lambs, calves, rabbits, steers, pigs, chickens, and goats. Riding horses has played a big part in her life, even before she could walk; her dad made sure of it. After graduating high school, she moved to Paso Robles, CA. During the next two years Kailey worked for a cutting trainer on the Hearst Ranch. She then decided to move to Idaho, and work at New Leaf, a federally funded program for mentally challenged young adults. Kailey cared for many, while earning her AA degree from the College of Southern Idaho. While spending summers and holidays going to different places in Idaho and Utah, riding horses, roping, meeting new people, she found herself settling in Boise Idaho, for the next four years. Still working with young adults, Kailey took on a second job and trained to groom dogs. Soon, Kailey decided to move to Afton because of her father. He grew up spending summers here, and eventually living in the Valley for 8 years. Kailey has enjoyed living in Afton with her three dogs, cat, two goats (the girls), and her horses. In Kailey’s free time she enjoys her animals, family, tooling leather, wood burning, hunting, riding, pet sitting, and grooming. Kailey is looking forward to making Star valley her forever home and she is honored to be a part of the Bridger Animal Hospital team.
