Amber Borrino, DVM – Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Amber grew up in Ammon, Idaho, where she was raised on a small farm with a wide variety of animals. Horses were her biggest passion and was always found outside with her horse after school. After graduating high school, she worked at a ranch as a horse wrangler in Jackson, WY where she fell in love with the mountains and the western people. She later attended Utah State University, and received a bachelor’s degree in Animal, Dairy, and Veterinary Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. Throughout her childhood and college years, her passion for animals and veterinary medicine continued to grow.
Dr. Amber earned her doctorate degree at Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She gained a deeper appreciation for the human-animal bond and developed a strong compassion for both animals and their owners. She has a special love for all aspects of equine medicine and enjoys working with small animals too. While in veterinary school, she married her adventurous, loving husband and could not resist adopting her spunky little corgi named “Rain”.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Amber is always seeking out new adventures in the great outdoors with her husband and dog. She is an outdoor enthusiast and can be found hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, paddle boarding, camping, fishing, riding horses, snowshoeing, skiing, ice skating, and many other outdoor activities. It was always her dream to return home to the West near the Grand Tetons and is looking forward to building lasting relationships with the animals and people of Star Valley.
