Veterinary Receptionist
Lisa was born and raised in the farming and ranching part of the state of South Dakota. Locals of the state are known as SoDak’s and either East or West River. Lisa hails from the East.
Lisa’s family bred, showed, and raced Arabian horses, so from a young age she fell in love with all things horses. She had several other pets growing up, including dogs, cats, pigs, rabbits, sheep and a dairy cow. She was involved in track, wrestling, 4-H Horse and National High School Rodeo.
Lisa pursued her love of animals and received degrees in Applied Science in Equine Science and Veterinary Technology.
She moved to the Jackson/Star Valley area in 1995 and fell in love with Wyoming. Lisa has spent her time working in both the human and animal care industry since arriving. She has worked for an Ophthalmologist, Orthopedic Surgeon, Co-Managed the Jackson/Teton County Animal Shelter and as Receptionist/Technician at a couple Veterinary Clinics.
Lisa has been involved with the Teton Barrel Racing Association, Horse Warriors and has been a volunteer instructor / volunteer with the Jackson Citizens Mounted Unit since 2000. She is an avid believer in adopting from animal shelters and giving the homeless and unwanted animals a second chance.
Lisa and her husband Russ have 5 horses, 2 dogs and a cat. They enjoy trail riding, camping, kayaking and fishing. Lisa is excited to join the Bridger Animal team and looks forward to assisting owners and their beloved furry family members.
